There are often fights among siblings, but a Florida woman took it to the next level, as she admitted to stabbing her sister to death and the reason why might shock many. The older sister plotted to kill her younger sister for flirting with her boyfriend, according to authorities.

On Sept. 26 around 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a home on Southern Charm Drive in Orlando regarding a possible death, the Orlando Sentinel reported. On the phone call, 21-year-old Fatiha Marzan told dispatchers she believed her sister was dead after she stabbed her with a knife.

Fire rescue medics from Orange County arrived at the scene and pronounced 20-year-old Sayma Marzan dead about 20 minutes later, according to authorities. It was reported that Fatiha stabbed Sayma multiple times in the heart at 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 with a dagger she had purchased off Amazon.

According to the arrest report, multiple witnesses said Fatiha did not believe that her younger sister’s relationship with her long-distance boyfriend of five years was appropriate.

Officials looked into the situation and said Sayma played a video game called Valorant with Fatiha’s boyfriend and often messaged her boyfriend through the video game’s chat channel. After learning that her boyfriend told her younger sister that he loved her, Fatiha reportedly admitted to buying a dagger-style knife set off Amazon. Investigators said she hid the knives for weeks before using them.

Fatiha told investigators that she stabbed her sister three to four times in the heart at 4:30 a.m. when she knew most of the family would be asleep, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

In the arrest report, it stated, “Fatiha knew she had to wait until her family was asleep to stab Sayma because she did not want anyone to hear the incident. Fatiha consciously decided to kill her sister, Sayma, and the decision was present in her mind at the time of the killing,” FOX 35 Orlando reported.
