COPAKE, N.Y. – A twin-engine turboprop Mitsubishi MU-2B carrying six people crashed into a muddy field in upstate New York on Saturday around 12:15 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Flight Was Headed to Columbia County Airport
The aircraft was en route to Columbia County Airport in Hudson, New York, when it went down near the town of Copake, approximately 50 miles south of Albany, close to the Massachusetts border.

Authorities Yet to Confirm Casualties
As of Saturday evening, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office had not released the identities of any individuals on board or confirmed the number of fatalities.
Undersheriff Jacqueline Salvatore reported that muddy field conditions at the crash site have hindered access for first responders, complicating early investigation efforts.
