Lil Baby Arrested in Las Vegas on Weapon Charge

Rapper Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas early Monday morning on charges of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The arrest took place on the Las Vegas Strip, though specific details leading to the incident have not been disclosed.

Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was apprehended despite holding a valid concealed carry permit from Georgia. His attorneys, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, are currently investigating the circumstances of his arrest.

The 29-year-old rapper has not yet been formally charged with the felony offense under Nevada law and was released on bond. He is scheduled to appear in court in Las Vegas on October 1.

Lil Baby, known for his chart-topping 2020 album “My Turn,” gained widespread acclaim with hits such as “The Bigger Picture,” which addresses the killing of George Floyd and police brutality. His other notable tracks include “Yes Indeed” featuring Drake and “Drip Too Hard.” In addition to his musical success, Lil Baby won the BET Award for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist in 2021 and was named Artist of the Year at the 2020 Apple Music Awards.
