A woman living in Hungary is adamant that she has fallen in love with a toy plane. The woman, 28, has put traditional romantic relationships with actual humans on the back burner in favor of a faux plane. Your eyes are not deceiving you. The woman in question, Sandra, is genuinely in love with a small plane.
Love for an Inanimate Object
Sandra has been obsessed with airplanes dating back to her childhood. She continued playing with toy planes through her adult years all the way until she progressed to adulthood. In fact, Sandra went as far as obtaining a job with an airline so she could spend her time around planes.
Sandra eventually found a plastic plane she calls “Luffancs” and fell in love. The woman insists the relationship is a romantic one. In January of 2021, Sandra cut ties with her human love interest to focus on a relationship with Luffancs.
It is worth noting that Luffancs cost a pretty penny. Sandra spent 600 euros on the toy plane, a figure that equates to $660 U.S. dollars. The two have been in love ever since.
Why Sandra Loves Airplanes
When media members questioned Sandra about her passion for her toy plane, she stated that she does not understand why she loves him. The Budapest resident insists the plane is her soulmate. “He is the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing when I go to sleep. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I get to do everything with him.”
Read in between the lines and you’ll get a sense of what Sandra is referring to in her quote above. It appears as though the plane is satisfying the woman in every way she needs, both spiritually and physically. Sandra has gone as far as stating she will not consider cheating on her toy plane with another plane. However, the woman has confessed to blowing kisses to other planes.
When asked about whether her previous boyfriends had an issue with her passion for aircraft, Sandra insists none of them had a problem with her odd passion. She also went out of her way to note she has not been in love with a plane before Luffancs.
Sandra hasn’t ruled out a relationship with another man but she’s quick to highlight the fact that the romance with Luffancs has been better than that enjoyed with any human, stating, “I have never felt like this with a partner before. For the first time in my life I am in love.”
