It seems there’s controversy wherever the Kardashians go. The latest one stems from a video interview Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and mom Kris did for Variety magazine to plug their new “The Kardashians” series on Hulu.
The backlash comes from Kim Kardashian’s comments concerning working women.
“I have the best advice for women and business. Get your f—king ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” the reality star said.
She was backed by Kourtney who chimed in with, “That’s so true.”
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work,” Kim added.
The comment didn’t go over well on social media as people pointed out that Kardashian comes from a wealthy family.
Actress and activist Jameela Jamil may have summed it up best when she tweeted, “If you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion… nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic.”
Other social media users followed up with similar comments.
“Not Miss Kimberly who got a BMW at 16 telling me I have to work harder in life,” posted @TakeItEasyRae.
“Kimberly, you wouldn’t survive 20 minutes working in retail,” tweeted @oatmilkdivaa.
@TheDailyShow chimed in with, “It’s true that Kim Kardashian works hard. But you know who else works hard? Most women.”
However, others back up the reality star who is the founder of a series of lucrative enterprises and made her way to the Forbes’ World’s Billionaires List.
In the past, she has come back at critics of her success saying, “Not bad for a girl with no talent,” while at a Forbes summit.
