There are a variety of ways that trying not to embarrass yourself around your significant other can go wrong. From saying the wrong thing to having an unknown stain ruin a part of your outfit, having a fear of embarrassing yourself in front of someone special is valid. The problem is when that fear starts to cause bodily harm. There’s nothing more embarrassing than having to make an ER visit in the middle of the night for something as avoidable as trapped farts.
Regardless, that’s the exact situation brazilian singer Pocah found herself in recently due to the fact that she was embarrassed to pass gas in front of her boyfriend. The 27-year old singer whose legal name is Viviane de Queiro was hospitalized with a case of “trapped farts.” She made a trip to the hospital after waking up in the middle of the night with stomach discomfort.
She was quoted in a Brazilian publication saying, “I woke up at 5:30am with severe stomach pains and ended up in the hospital. But that’s it guys. I’m fine now. Just an accumulation of trapped farts.”
She placed the blame on a TikTok thread suggesting that she should simply ignore the stomach pains. Several medical tests needed to be performed in order to get to the cause of her condition. The singer hopes that other women learn from her unfortunate situation.

She said, “Girls don’t be ashamed to fart in front of your guy because what’s embarrassing is not letting your guy sleep because you’re in discomfort, going to the hospital with your guy and the diagnosis being ‘trapped farts’”. By the sounds of it, not taking Pocah’s advice could have negative ramifications for both parties in the relationship.
