Brazil faces political riot from Bolsonaristas: Here’s what we know

A series of attacks were recorded in Brazil after Bolsonaristas or Bolsonaro extremists demonstrated a political riot against the incoming administration. Many properties were damaged, and weapons were stolen too.

It was noted that Lula, the incoming president, won over Bolsonaro in the election. World leaders across the globe congratulated the newly elected president, but not all seem to celebrate this leadership.

According to sources, Bolsonaristas attacked the police in December last year. Ever since their president lost the election, they’ve caused public hysteria, which the authorities said was a violation of democracy in Brazil.

Their attacks are getting violent, as there are reports of looting, vandalizing, and damaging properties

The head of communication of the president tweeted a video of the aftermath where weapons casings are present.

There are also reports of people dressed in green and yellow parading the streets, looting the supreme court building.

This political riot has escalated, and world leaders are condemning every violent act.

President Biden tweeted his concern about the situation and mentioned that his administration supports Lula.

Meanwhile, President Lula said in a statement that they’d hold people accountable for the damages from the political riot. Currently, hundreds of people have been arrested.

Lula is now in his 3rd term as the president of Brazil.
