The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on the East Atlantic Avenue tracks near Railroad Avenue, as the fire truck was en route to an emergency call, authorities said.

The three injured firefighters were transported to a local hospital. Initially, two of them were listed in critical condition, but their status has since been updated to stable, according to Delray Beach Fire Rescue.
