A 3.9-magnitude tremor had also been recorded in the same region on Saturday.

Authorities, including police and fire services, reported no damage as of Sunday evening. The tremor was, however, felt across a broad region of northern Greece.

Greece frequently experiences tremors of this magnitude due to its proximity to the convergence of the African and European tectonic plates.
