South Metro Fire Rescue shared on the social platform X that one individual sustained minor injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital. The second person involved in the incident was unharmed.
According to South Metro Fire Rescue, the Cessna 172 crashed shortly after taking off from Centennial Airport, located about 5 miles (8 kilometers) north of Meridan Golf Club. The plane came down near the seventh hole, as reported by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will be conducting investigations into the crash, authorities confirmed.
