Steven Tyler Suffers Vocal Cord Injury Aerosmith Tour Postponed

Frontman Steven Tyler of Aerosmith announced on Monday that the band has been forced to postpone several dates on their farewell tour due to his vocal cord injury sustained during a recent performance.

Tyler, 75, shared the unfortunate news on Instagram, saying, “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”

Aerosmith, renowned for hits like “Dream On,” “Walk This Way,” and “Sweet Emotion,” kicked off their “Peace Out” farewell tour on September 2 with a powerful performance in Philadelphia. The ill-fated show that resulted in Tyler’s injury took place last Saturday on New York’s Long Island.

Originally, the 40-date tour was set to culminate with a New Year’s Eve performance in the band’s hometown of Boston, with the final show scheduled for January 26 in Montreal.
