These days, tattoos and body modifications aren’t that unusual. But one dad went so far over the top, he ended up getting banned from various churches. 38-year-old Brazilian man Renie Diniz da Silva has spent over $50,000 on body modifications over the last 14 years.

Not satisfied with the tattoos that covered 70% of his body, he moved on to serious body implants. These include two transdermal implants on his forehead that allow him to screw horns onto his head.

He has also taken part in body suspension which involves placing hooks in his back and swinging from two chains using his skin for support.

Da Silva has gotten plenty of hateful comments from strangers, but he was most disappointed by the religious community.  He has been denied access to churches on several occasions based on his looks.

He has also been told repeatedly that he would go to hell due to the modifications he has on his body.

Despite the backlash, Renie loves his appearance and plans to continue his transformation.

He describes the work he’s had done saying, “I have four silicone implants in my right arm and four in my left arm.”

“I’ve had a lightning bolt implanted in my hand. I have orc ears, tattooed eyeballs and 14 surgically implanted steel teeth.”

He also talks about how the community perceives him.

“Most of my friends like it, but there is always one who says they don’t and criticize.”

“My father doesn’t like it very much and my family asks why I do all this.”

“My daughter is still very young, only two years old, but my son doesn’t like it when I get hurt.”

“I am happy. I like tattoo modifications and I really like participating in tattoo conventions.”
