Comedian James Corden has been in the headlines recently for all sorts of reasons unrelated to his comedic act. After insisting that he had no part in any wrongdoing during his visit to a French restaurant in New York City named Balthazar, he recently took an opportunity to recant his story.
During the late-night show of Corden, he cleared the issue by explaining the story behind the issue. He admitted that his behavior in the restaurant was rude.
After that, he continued his story by sharing how and why he ended up being rude.
He attended the restaurant with his wife, Julia, whose meal initially came out incorrectly. They then asked the employee for the correct order until they got to the third time. James Corden said it was still wrong, and that’s when he commented on cooking the dish himself.
James Corden admits his response is rude and tells his audience he regrets it.
Even though Corden admitted to wrongdoing on his end, he still came off as emotional because he was placed in such a position to apologize publicly for the experience.
During the apology, in which the television host was clearly shaken up while delivering, he cleared the air by saying he didn’t make a scene or call people using offensive language. Still, he wrapped up his statements about the situation and admitted that he used the wrong choice of words to the server and regretted it.
Considering the backlash he’s received for his behavior at Balthazar, it’s fair to assume that the comedian will be mindful of his comments at restaurants moving forward.
