To say that it’s been a busy past few months for entertainer and fashion mogul Kanye West would be a drastic understatement.
A recent string of anti-semitic statements and other shocking conversations the artist has chosen to partake in has cost him numerous opportunities and relationships. The most recent entity to cut ties with Kanye West is Adidas.
On Tuesday, the giant in athletic apparel released a statement confirming that they let go of Kanye West from being part of Adidas. They also mentioned that Yeezy would not be produced anymore by the company.

In the midst of his anti-semitic tirade, his longtime management agency CAA, also decided to part ways with West, as did the high-end fashion brand Balenciaga. Adidas decided to drop its Yeezy line just months after the former Chief Operations Officer of Yeezy, Udi Avshalom, said he hoped to bring West to his home country of Israel.
Udi aims to bring the influence of sneakers to Israel with the help of West. However, it is unclear whether that will still happen despite the anti-semitic issues.
A source close to the situation, named Juda Engelmayer, a crisis public relations professional, told the New York Post that one way to confirm if West really believes in his anti-semitic statements is when Udi drops him.
Sadly, millions, if not billions, of other people feel similarly to West. Hopefully, his willingness to share these beliefs with the world won’t make other anti-semites emboldened enough to act on those beliefs.
