ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 32-year-old woman, Mary Blasetti of Annapolis, has died following a golf cart accident near a Maryland private club, according to Anne Arundel County police.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 7:24 p.m. in the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill. Blasetti sustained life-threatening injuries when she was thrown from an E-Z-GO golf cart.

Police confirmed the driver, also a 32-year-old woman from Crownsville, Maryland, was uninjured. Blasetti was airlifted to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she passed away on November 11.
The Anne Arundel County Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the incident.
