Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Los Angeles home was burglarized recently, according to law enforcement officials.
The burglary, which occurred a few weeks ago but was only reported on Monday, is part of a series of home burglaries in Southern California.
TMZ first broke the news on Monday morning.
The intruders targeted the couple’s guest house without entering the main residence.
No one was home at the time of the incident, and officials do not believe the couple was specifically targeted.
As of Monday, no arrests have been made.
Law enforcement sources suggest the suspects are part of groups that have been targeting upscale neighborhoods indiscriminately over the past few years.

A spokesperson for Hanks did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
