A tragic incident occurred early Tuesday morning when a man drove his semi-truck into a strip club in Tampa, Florida, after being kicked out following an argument, resulting in one death and two injuries.
The incident took place at 4:19 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into Emperors Gentlemen’s Club at 5718 E. Adamo Drive, according to a statement from the City of Tampa.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered that the truck had collided with the front area of the building leading to the entrance,” city officials said. “Witnesses reported that the driver had been ejected from the club and returned to drive the truck into a group of people standing outside.”
One man was fatally injured in the crash, while two others sustained injuries but are expected to recover, according to the City of Tampa.
The driver was apprehended and is currently hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

“This is an unbelievably tragic and completely avoidable incident,” said Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw. “We will work to get justice for the victims and their families. Our thoughts are with all those affected, including the innocent bystanders who witnessed this horrific event.”

City officials have stated that charges are likely to be filed as the investigation continues.
