Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have reached a temporary child custody agreement, as indicated by court documents filed on Tuesday. The arrangement outlines the custody schedule for their two children, aged 1 and 3, in the coming months.
According to the order, Sophie Turner will have custody of the children from October 9 through October 21, after which they will return to Joe Jonas from October 21 through November 2. This custody schedule will continue on a rotating basis, with Turner having custody until November 22, Jonas taking over until December 16, and Turner once again having custody until January 7.
The court order also allows the “Game of Thrones” star to return to the U.K. whenever she has custody of the children. It’s worth noting that last month, they had agreed to a temporary order to keep the children in New York.
The former celebrity couple, who announced their separation on September 6 after four years of marriage, has been embroiled in a court battle regarding the residence of their young children. Turner had filed a petition against Jonas, seeking the return of the children to England, where the family had previously established their permanent home.
Turner’s filing accused Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, of wrongfully retaining the children in New York City and refusing to surrender their passports.
In response, Jonas stated that handing over the passports would be in violation of a court order in Florida, where he filed for divorce. He also expressed his willingness to have the children raised in both countries.
During this time, the children had been traveling with the pop star and a nanny as he toured the United States while Turner worked on a new drama series in the U.K.

Turner had been scheduled to fly to New York City in mid-September to bring the children back to the U.K., as outlined in her filing. However, the couple announced their divorce before that could occur. In Jonas’ divorce petition, he cited the marriage as “irretrievably broken” and requested “shared parental responsibility” for their children.
As of now, attorneys representing Turner and Jonas have not responded to requests for comment.
