It’s a sad story, but it just took a wild twist with the principal jumps to death at Disneyland news over the weekend. As it turns out, the man was due in court two days later for child endangerment charges, officials said.
On December 3, 51-year-old Christopher Christensen, a high school principal, jumped from a parking structure at Disneyland. He works at the Huntington Beach elementary school and is also a musician that taught and played throughout Southern California, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. As it turns out, Christensen also faced child endangerment and battery charges after an arrest last month and was due in court on December 5.
Around 9 p.m. on December 3, Christensen was found dead after a witness reported a man fell from one of the parking structures. Police confirmed that his death was likely a suicide, which was verified by a lengthy post on his Facebook page on Saturday.
In the post, he introduced that he has a wife named Marlena whom he has been married for 3 ½ years. He mentioned how loving their relationship was until they recently had an argument in front of their daughters. That’s when Marlena called the cops because of the heated argument but claimed that he never hit the girls
The police said he was charged with the misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and battery on November 22, which he pleaded not guilty to both charges.
It looks like it got to him all, as his pending court date loomed, and Christensen decided to take his own life.
