A distressed 25-year-old mother, Marissa Carmichael, made a desperate call to 911 before disappearing in Greensboro, North Carolina, prompting a plea from the police for public assistance in finding her.

Carmichael was last seen in the early hours of Sunday, January 14, at the Exxon on 809 East Market St. in Greensboro, according to the police. A copy of her 911 call revealed that she expressed distress and sought help from the non-emergency line.

In the two-minute call, Carmichael explained that a man had asked her to pick up items at the gas station but had left while she was inside, leaving her stranded without a way to get home. She mentioned that the man took off with her phone and left her belongings scattered outside the car. Unable to identify her location, she pleaded for assistance.

When asked if she needed medical help, Carmichael clarified that she was not injured but emphasized her being stranded without her phone or contacts. Despite providing details about her appearance, including blue jeans, a white shirt, and yellow sneakers, she expressed doubt that it would aid in resolving her situation.

However, when the police arrived at the gas station, Carmichael was not present, according to an incident report. A spokesperson for the Greensboro Police Department confirmed that officers are actively trying to locate her.

Carmichael, a High Point, North Carolina resident, was reported missing by her mother, Sara Kay Carmichael. The missing person’s report includes the name of a man whom Sara Carmichael believes could be connected to her daughter’s disappearance. Due to the ongoing investigation, specific details, such as the individuals interviewed, are not disclosed.
