A man in China tried to show a live crab who was boss, but it ended up coming back to bite him, as he became strangely ill months later.
The man, identified as 39-year-old Lu of Zhejiang, was recently at a hospital in Hangzhou and being seen by doctors due to his back pain. The pain has been going on for about two months after he ate the live crab, Yahoo! News reported.

Dr. Cao Qian asked the patient why he decided to eat the crab. He was stunned by his answer because it was about revenge.
A crab pinched his daughter, so to get revenge, he ate it. The man only mentioned it to the medical professionals once his wife told them about it.
Furthermore, according to Yahoo News, before admitting it, doctors were puzzled by the results of the patient’s pathology exam.
Dr. Qian also mentioned they repeatedly asked Lu what food he ate. He never mentioned anything odd at all.
Bloodwork was completed on Lu, which showed he had three parasitic infections from eating the live crab. He has since recovered but will require follow-up visits.
The doctor further mentioned that eating raw crabs is not recommended to people. Eating marinated crabs is always better since the alcohol helps kill the parasites.
Center for Food Safety also reminded people not to eat raw crabs.
