Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalized due to “a myriad of health conditions” and has also contracted COVID-19 and double pneumonia, his representative announced.

Weinstein, 72, was moved to the Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan, according to his representative and prison consultant, Craig Rothfeld, on Thursday.

“He is receiving treatment for various health issues he faces daily, including diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and fluid on his heart and lungs, among other conditions,” Rothfeld stated.

“Additionally, Mr. Weinstein tested positive for COVID and developed double pneumonia in his lungs,” Rothfeld added.

Weinstein is currently awaiting a retrial in Manhattan on sex crime charges after his conviction was overturned on appeal in April. The retrial is tentatively scheduled for November.

Prosecutors recently alleged that the disgraced movie mogul raped more women than those involved in his previous prosecution.

Weinstein has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, and his attorneys have expressed doubt regarding any new accusers.

Separately, Weinstein is contesting a rape conviction in Los Angeles, where his defense attorneys argued he did not receive a fair trial. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison in that case.
