It’s a story you don’t understand, as it is 2022, and we are still dealing with homophobia in the world. The latest story comes from Armenia about a teen gay couple who jumped to their deaths.
The couple was identified as Arsen and Tigran. They jumped from the Davitashen Bridge, Pink Armenia reported. Just before they did the act, they posted a sweet memento of them kissing.
The couple shared other photos also, including them getting facials together and showing off what appears to be wedding rings. According to reports, both of their parents are not okay with their relationship. It is also speculated that the couple received death threats.
Pink Armenia said in a statement that this incident shows how abusive people are towards the LGBT community. The isolation and vile treatment from society is why these young men ended their lives. Later ended with the call that the LGBT community is never safe in Armenia.
According to Armenia’s gay rights organization, people still leave inappropriate commentaries on their page despite the suicide incident in the news.
