A couple was terrified after finding the skeletal remains of what appeared to be an alien hand on the beach.
Leticia Gomez and her boyfriend Devanir Souza were strolling along the beach on the shores of Ilha Comprida, São Paulo State, Brazil, on November 20, when they came across the eerie discovery.
They filmed the incredibly large hand with long bony fingers next to Leticia’s flip-flop to illustrate how big it was.

The video was posted on social media leading commenters to weigh in with their own opinions. Some people noticed it looks like ET’s hand, while some thinks it might be a dinosaur bone.
Marine biologist Eric Comin weighed in with his opinion speculating that the hand was likely to belong to a cetacean, a type of aquatic mammals such as a whale, dolphin, or porpoise.
He believes it was probably a dolphin’s hand due to its large size and the fact that dolphins are often found in the region.
He also guessed that the mammal probably died around 18 months ago due to the state of decomposition.
However, he added that more research was needed to determine what mammal the hand belonged to and how long ago it died.
He also stated that anyone who finds animal remains on the beach should notify the Cananeia Research Institute, the region’s local environmental agency.
IPEC (Office of the Intellectual Property of Enforcement Coordinator) spokesperson Henrique Chupill backed Comin on speculation that the hand probably belonged to a cetacean.
What creature do you think the bone is from?
