A man considered “armed and dangerous” on a federal arrest warrant has been apprehended by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Keith Korenek, the Narcotics Unit received information on Wednesday afternoon regarding the whereabouts of Christopher Deborde, residing in Sealy. They discovered that he was staying in the La Grange area and managed to locate him at the Carter Motel.
Upon the arrival of deputies at the scene, they observed Deborde leaving the motel on a motorcycle and proceeded to initiate a traffic stop.
Korenek stated that Deborde initially attempted to elude the authorities on the motorcycle but quickly realized that he was surrounded by responding units. Consequently, he abandoned the bike and attempted to flee on foot.
Without delay, Deborde was swiftly brought to the ground and physically restrained by the deputies. During the apprehension, the law enforcement officers discovered a pistol and several knives in his possession.

Deborde is currently in custody, detained based on the active arrest warrant against him.
