In a heartwarming turn of events, the mother of a teenager from Arizona, who had been missing for almost four years, expressed her gratitude and joy after her daughter was found alive in Montana. Jessica Nuñez, the mother, shared her feelings of amazement and described the discovery as a true “miracle.” In a video message, she thanked the community and credited God for answering their prayers.
Speaking about her daughter, Alicia Navarro, who is now 18, Nuñez recounted that she disappeared from their home in Glendale, Arizona on September 15, 2019. At the time, a note was found in Alicia’s room suggesting she had run away, but this behavior was out of character for the then 14-year-old girl.
The search for Alicia involved the efforts of the FBI and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, but it was on a remarkable day that she walked into a small police station near the Canadian border in Montana. She identified herself as the missing girl, bringing immense relief to her family and authorities.
Glendale police, while relieved at finding Alicia safe and healthy, stated that the case remains under investigation. Although she arrived at the police station alone, authorities have yet to determine the circumstances surrounding her journey to Montana and why she chose to leave her home.

Despite the lack of details surrounding Alicia’s disappearance, her mother encouraged others with missing loved ones to hold onto hope and faith. She urged people to view Alicia’s story as an example that miracles can happen, and that one should never lose hope but instead continue to fight for their missing family members.
