California Sheriff’s Deputy Hospitalized After Driver Runs Her Over

 

 

A California sheriff’s deputy is in the hospital after being run over by a driver attempting to flee during a traffic stop, officials reported.

The incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. near Ventura Avenue and Kellogg Street in Ventura County, according to a statement from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by media.

Details on what led to the traffic stop or what transpired before the deputy was injured remain unclear. However, authorities confirmed that the driver sped away from the scene following the collision.
