A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition following a shooting at Northwest High School in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, according to police.
The incident occurred inside the school at around 12:23 p.m., prompting authorities to release a description of the suspect over the radio, Omaha police reported. By 12:58 p.m., the suspect had been taken into custody.

Police believe the shooting resulted from a confrontation between two students.
The school’s lockdown has since been lifted.
