A billionaire’s historic spacewalk has been delayed, as SpaceX postponed Thursday’s event by a few hours.
Tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman and his crew had been preparing for the first private spacewalk since they launched into orbit on Tuesday for a five-day mission. However, SpaceX announced the delay just an hour before the scheduled spacewalk.
While no specific reason for the delay was given, SpaceX reassured via X (formerly Twitter) that “all systems are looking good.”

During the spacewalk, Isaacman and a SpaceX engineer will take turns exiting their capsule, remaining close to the hatch while orbiting hundreds of miles above Earth. The other two crew members will stay strapped in their seats.
