Defense Minister Yaşar Güler accused the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of orchestrating the attack. The PKK, a Kurdish separatist group, is classified as a terrorist organization by Turkey and its Western allies. “We give these PKK scoundrels the punishment they deserve every time,” Güler remarked. “We will not let go of them until the last terrorist is eliminated.”
Vice President Yilmaz echoed the belief that the PKK was responsible for the assault but emphasized that the investigation is ongoing.

In retaliation, the Turkish Defense Ministry launched airstrikes targeting PKK strongholds in Iraq and northern Syria, reportedly destroying 32 targets and triggering multiple explosions.
Security footage from the attack showed two armed assailants approaching the facility’s entrance carrying backpacks, further heightening concerns about the nature of the attack.

The Turkish Aerospace Industries site is located approximately 25 miles outside of the capital, Ankara.
International leaders, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and White House National Security Spokesman John Kirby, expressed solidarity with Turkey. “NATO stands with our Ally Turkey. We strongly condemn terrorism in all its forms,” Rutte stated, while Kirby added, “Our prayers are with all of those affected and their families, and we strongly condemn this act of violence.”
