More than three years after her disappearance, investigators have solved the case of a missing Michigan woman. State police confirmed on Wednesday that her remains were discovered on property owned by her husband.
The death of Dee Warner, 52, has been officially ruled a homicide, according to state police. They announced on the social media platform X that the remains had been positively identified, and the manner of death was confirmed, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Warner was reported missing in April 2021. Her husband, Dale Warner, was charged with murder and tampering with evidence in connection to her disappearance in November. He has pleaded not guilty.
Dale Warner’s attorney has not provided any comment as of Wednesday night.
Last week, state police revealed that human remains were discovered in Lenawee County, approximately 70 miles southwest of Detroit.

Family members informed local TV stations that the remains were found inside a sealed, empty tank commonly used for storing crop fertilizer.
“In the dark of night, in a building without cameras, he slid her body into the tank, replaced the end cap, and welded it completely shut,” Dee’s brother, Greg Hardy, told WDIV-TV during a visit to the site.
