PHILADELPHIA, PA — A violent home invasion in Lower Merion Township, an upscale Philadelphia suburb, has left a mother critically injured and her son dead, authorities confirmed. The attack occurred early Sunday morning at approximately 2:20 a.m., according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Suspect Still at Large
The suspect remains unidentified and at large, according to an official from the district attorney’s office. Police have asked the public for assistance in locating a car and its driver seen fleeing the area of the home invasion.
The victims’ 2004 Green Jeep Cherokee, stolen during the attack, was recovered later on Sunday in West Philadelphia, officials reported. Investigators have not disclosed whether any additional items were stolen from the residence.
Reward Offered
Authorities have announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. The case remains under active investigation.
