On Monday morning, two women were hospitalized after a man allegedly poured gasoline on them and set them on fire in Detroit.
The incident occurred around 6 a.m. Dennis Richardson, Chief of the Detroit Fire Department Fire Investigation Division, reported that the women were just arriving at work when the man, who is believed to have used a cigarette lighter, ignited the gasoline he had poured on them.
Both women were rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital with severe injuries, while the man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police Chief James White revealed that the suspect was an employee at the same business and had either been recently suspended or terminated. He is believed to have targeted the women, thinking they were partially responsible for his situation. Chief White indicated that he will likely recommend attempted murder charges against the man. His identity has not been released by the police.
