According to local officials, a shooting took place in Los Angeles County that led to the death of a woman and left four individuals injured. This unfortunate event marked the beginning of the new year on an ominous note.
The Hawthorne Police Department responded to reports of gunshots around 12:30 a.m. on Monday near Crenshaw Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue, close to a shopping center. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered that an unidentified male had suffered gunshot wounds. Emergency services immediately transported him for treatment at the nearby hospital.
Simultaneously, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department disclosed that four additional victims sought medical aid in different nearby healthcare facilities. Regrettably, one of them – an adult female – succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased. The other casualties comprised a person in critical condition, along with three individuals who were reported stable.
Currently, the sheriff’s department is managing the inquiry into the shooting, and there have been no apprehensions made as yet.
