The police officer at the center of this incident, identified as Francesco Marlett, has been placed on suspension by the Prince George County Police.
Marlett had previously faced suspension in 2016 for a disturbing incident where he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend’s 3-year-old child, rendering the child unconscious due to anger issues. Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks had strongly condemned Marlett’s actions at the time, stating unequivocally that there was no justification for his conduct. Striking a helpless child and causing such significant harm, she emphasized, was entirely unacceptable.
A police department in Maryland has initiated an inquiry into a widely circulated video that suggests a police officer engaging in intimate activities with a woman inside the backseat of a department cruiser, following what appears to be a kiss.
The video, initially posted on Instagram and TikTok (as depicted below) and subsequently shared on various platforms, depicts a uniformed officer sharing a kiss with an unidentified woman. Subsequently, the two individuals are observed entering the rear compartment of the officer’s marked SUV. The video continues for a brief period before abruptly ending.
It is believed that the video was recorded at a park near Oxon Hill High School in Prince George’s County, Maryland. In response to the video, the Prince George’s County Police Department issued a statement on both Twitter and Facebook, acknowledging their awareness of the footage and confirming the launch of an investigation.
The initial statement from the Prince George’s County Police Department read, “PGPD Executive Command is aware of a video circulating on social media featuring one of our officers. As soon as we became aware earlier today, we opened an investigation to determine the circumstances. Additional information will be released once investigated and confirmed.”
