NBA icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is set to undergo hip surgery following an unfortunate incident at a concert, as revealed by his longtime business partner on Saturday. The 76-year-old former basketball center experienced a fall during a Friday night concert, resulting in a broken hip, according to Deborah Morales.
Expressing gratitude for the support received, Morales acknowledged the Los Angeles Fire Department for their assistance at the scene. Abdul-Jabbar was swiftly transported to a Los Angeles hospital, where he is currently under the care of the exceptional medical team and doctors at UCLA Hospital.
With a career that places him second on the all-time NBA scoring list with 38,387 points, Abdul-Jabbar’s legacy in basketball is significant. Notably, he was surpassed by LeBron James in February 2023 in terms of total points scored.
