After being reported missing for more than three weeks, a Rochester Institute of Technology student, Matthew Grant, 22, has been located safe and has returned to his family, as confirmed by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office, which had sought public assistance in the case through published notices, did not provide details regarding the circumstances of Matthew Grant’s discovery in a statement released Wednesday evening.

Matthew Grant was last seen on the night of November 20 near Syracuse, according to his family. The Rochester Institute of Technology also shared a positive update on social media, announcing that their student had been found and successfully reunited with his family.
