In one of the biggest non-political scandals to hijack the front pages of news headlines in recent memory, Good Morning America or GMA anchors T.J Holmes and Amy Robach have recently had their secret affair exposed in front of everyone.

On Friday, the pair co-hosted alongside one another for what could be the final time, for a while, as the higher-ups at ABC re-evaluate their futures in the light of the undercover workplace romance coming to light. They’ll be sidelined from their post at GMA3 while executives evaluate the impact the relationship could have on the program and the network.

The pair seemingly had fun addressing the topic in what could be their only opportunity to discuss the situation on air. During the opening segment, the anchors are seen interacting about the weekend, which hinting they are aware of the headlines surrounding their off-air relationship. Still, likely much to the chagrin of viewers, the pair declined to address the topic head-on.

That could be the case because both are still legally married and have been for the past 12 years. Friday’s show marked the first time Holmes had been seen on-air without his wedding ring. He was married to an attorney named Mailee Fiebig. Holmes was in a rocky marriage with actor Andrew Shue, surrounded by divorce rumors until sources with the DailyMail learned they had sought counseling. Considering the current romance brewing with her co-host, it’s fair to assume that a split in both marriages is imminent.
