The somber discovery was prompted by a concerned call to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, received just after 1 p.m. local time on Sunday. The caller, a family member, reported receiving a distressing text message indicating harm to others at the residence, prompting the request for a welfare check, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Upon arrival at the home in the Orchards neighborhood, deputies were unable to establish contact with the occupants. Concerns about potential harm and the involvement of a firearm led to the involvement of the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT Team, as detailed in the official statement.
