According to sources, the Mexican military in Sinaloa has apprehended Ovidio Guzmán López, the son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán and leader of the Los Chapitos.
The team apprehended him in Culiacán, which resulted in a rounding sound of gunfire. Residents in the area said the sound of gunshots and chaos awakened them during the operation from the authorities.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador verified an ongoing operation in the said area.
During the arrest of the prominent leader Ovidio, there are still on going group attacks from the cartel. Until now, the authorities are trying to reduce public hysteria throughout the operation.

Guzman was previously detained in 2019. He was released to prevent any possible clash against the cartel.
Ovidio remains a powerful member of the Sinaloa Cartel. Even the US government believed it and made a reward of $5 million to anyone who would provide a lead. They also aim to arrest El Chapo’s sons and the cartel’s leaders. Their names are Ovidio, Alfredo, Jess, Joaquín , and Iván.
