Italian law enforcement apprehended a 21-year-old Dutch Man on Friday, suspected to be involved in the fatal stabbing of his father and a family friend in the rural vicinity close to the French border.
A representative from the Carabinieri paramilitary police verified the arrest, while reports from Italian media indicated that the suspect had been discovered concealed in the nearby woods, adjacent to the site of the assault in the Piedmont province’s Cuneo region. The detained individual was subsequently transported to Cuneo City via an ambulance.
As per accounts from Italian news sources, the 21-year-old under suspicion is believed to grapple with psychiatric challenges.
The family friend, also of Dutch origin, purportedly extended hospitality to the father and son for a visit at his residence, where the tragic incident unfolded.
