A dead longhorn was discovered on the grounds of a fraternity affiliated with Oklahoma State University, just one day before the anticipated Big 12 championship football clash between the Cowboys and the University of Texas Longhorns. Authorities in Stillwater, Oklahoma, have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The FarmHouse Fraternity at Oklahoma State issued a statement disavowing any involvement in the incident that transpired on Friday morning. According to the statement, the fraternity expressed dismay over the discovery of a “deceased carcass of a longhorn cow” in their front yard. The animal had been branded with a phrase referencing the fraternity in an inappropriate manner. The chapter asserted its surprise and repulsion, emphasizing its commitment to proper animal welfare.

The university echoed its condemnation of the incident, describing it as a “disturbing display of animal cruelty” and expressing deep dismay. The Office of Student Support and Conduct at Oklahoma State University is also conducting an investigation into the matter.
