NEW YORK CITY — Harvey Weinstein, the former film mogul serving time for sexual assault convictions, has been hospitalized once more at Bellevue Hospital in New York City for urgent medical care following alarming blood test results. His attorney, Imran Ansari, confirmed the news in a statement.
“It is expected that he will remain there until his condition stabilizes,” Ansari said.
Weinstein, currently detained at Rikers Island, awaits a new trial on additional sexual assault charges. The 71-year-old has been grappling with severe health conditions, including leukemia, according to his associates. His legal team has raised concerns over the care he is receiving while in custody.
