A Frontier Airlines flight experienced an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport on Saturday evening, after what appeared to be a fire.
The flight, traveling from San Diego to Las Vegas, was in the landing process when pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency, according to a statement from Frontier Airlines.
Fire and rescue teams responded quickly, extinguishing the fire. All 190 passengers and seven crew members safely deplaned using the airstairs, the airline confirmed. There were no reported injuries, and passengers were transported by bus to the terminal.
“The cause of the incident is currently under investigation,” Frontier said in a statement to media.
The airport reported that Flight 1326 had “a hard landing.” A temporary ground stop was in effect until 7 p.m. that evening, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is continuing to investigate the situation.
