In San Antonio, Texas, four police officers were shot after responding to a distress call from inside a home on Wednesday evening, authorities confirmed.

Police officers received a call from an apartment in San Antonio, where an individual reported that a family member was in distress and urgently needed help. As law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, the situation quickly escalated.

A third officer, who had responded to the scene, was shot, followed by a fourth officer who was struck by a bullet in the upper torso. All four officers were transported to the hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police reports.

The identities of the officers involved have not been released, though San Antonio Police Chief William McManus stated that each officer had between four to eight years of experience in the force.
The suspect, a male in his 40s, has not been identified either. Police are currently working with a SWAT team to safely resolve the situation and remove the suspect from the apartment.
