California authorities are seeking assistance in locating a 14-year-old mother, her infant daughter, and her 15-year-old sister-in-law, who have been missing since Sunday night.
Amoria Brown, 14, her 3-month-old daughter Omoria Brown, and Sanaii Brown, 15, were last seen around 10 p.m. on Sunday. The Los Angeles Police Department believes they were possibly heading towards California’s High Desert, located east of Los Angeles, along with family members.
On Tuesday, an Ebony Alert was issued by authorities for the missing girls. The alert is used in cases of suspicious or unexplained disappearances involving Black individuals.
The LAPD has expressed concern for the newborn girl, who has a heart condition requiring daily medication.
Police informed media that there is no suspicion of foul play at this time.
Amoria Brown is described as Black, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a multicolored shirt, gray shorts, and gray sandals.
Sanaii Brown is also Black, with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands at 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.
