In a devastating incident near the Miami port, according to authorities, a man lost his life early Sunday when a 30-foot boat collided with a ferry, leading to disruptions in cruise line arrivals.
Following the crash, another man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition at around 3:40 a.m. local time. Ferry personnel bravely rescued him from the water, where he informed them about his missing companion before being transported to a nearby medical facility, as reported by the Miami Herald.
The unfortunate accident occurred in the vicinity of Dodge Island, known for its row of cruise ship terminals. As a result, three cruise lines had to modify their unloading procedures. The U.S. Coast Guard swiftly established a temporary security zone, curtailing traffic in and out of Port Miami to facilitate an investigation into the crash by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, according to the newspaper.

Regrettably, the missing man was later discovered deceased, compounding the sorrow surrounding the incident.
