The King County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to multiple 911 calls on Monday morning reporting gunshots in Fall City, about 25 miles east of Seattle. Upon arrival, they discovered five deceased victims: three children and two adults. A girl survived the incident and was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the case, which authorities are treating as a firearms-related homicide investigation. All victims are believed to be members of the same family.

“This is a tragic, domestic violence situation,” said King County sheriff’s deputy Mike Mellis, adding that the family had no significant prior history with law enforcement.

The quiet neighborhood is rarely the scene of police activity, Mellis said. “It’s just unfathomable,” neighbor Cameron Doerrer told media, adding that the children were “the sweetest, so polite.”
The investigation is ongoing.
