Maria Zardoya, frontwoman of indie band “The Marias,” claimed the 32-year-old drummer groped her under the table while sitting together at a bar. She described it as “one of the most uncomfortable things” that ever happened to her, and posted about it on her Instagram story.
She then approached the band to tell them about their drummer.
It didn’t take long for The Neighbourhood to announce that Fried was no longer part of the band. The group created a post on Twitter stating the following.
We are grateful to Maria for coming forward. We have zero tolerance for any kind of inappropriate behavior towards women. As a result of Brandon’s actions, he will no longer be a member of The Neighbourhood.

Fried also made a statement apologizing to Zardoya and taking accountability for his actions.
The drummer admitted the incident and apologized for his inappropriate behavior. He also said he is currently seeking help from professionals for his alcohol and substance abuse.
Afterward, he also apologized to all who was offended by his actions.
The Neighbourhood is a California rock band formed in 2011 consisting of guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margot and singer Jesse Rutherford. Fried joined the band in 2014.
They are best known for their hit song “Sweater Weather.”
