The Inside Scoop on Tristan Thompson’s Paternity Results

Maralee Nichols, a personal trainer and former flame of Tristan Thompson, is in the news for her viral reaction to the former basketball player’s paternity results.  Nichols made a public statement in response to the DNA test results that prove Thompson is the father of her 1-month-old infant.  This is an interesting development, since Thompson refused to acknowledge he was the father of the infant until receiving scientific proof.  Indeed, Thompson is now confirmed as the father of the child.

The personal trainer’s representative provided Page Six with an exclusive statement earlier in the week, stating, “There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby.  Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”

Thompson Admits He is the Father

Thompson, 30, a forward with the Sacramento Kings, admitted he is the father of the infant in a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram account earlier in the week.  The baller’s statement also included a seemingly heartfelt apology to his former flame, Khloe Kardashian.  Thompson apologized to Kardashian for cheating on her.  However, this is not the first time Thompson has cheated on Kardashian.  

Thompson’s full statement reads: “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.  I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son.  I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both privately and publicly.”

Is Thompson Sincere?

Some social media users are questioning whether Thompson’s comments are genuine or if he is pretending to have turned over a new leaf and is still the same conniving sexual deviant under the surface.  It has been alleged that Thompson requested that Nichols have an abortion.  Thompson allegedly accused Nichols of attempting to “gain” fame.  

The basketball player even went as far as threatening Nichols over child support as revealed in legal documents pertaining to the paternity lawsuit.  As a result, it makes sense that Nichols and social media users are questioning whether Thompson’s statement made earlier in the week is sincere.

Lamar Odom Chimes In

Kardashian’s former husband, Lamar Odom, has lent his support during this difficult time, stating, “I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I’m hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends.” 

Odom, 42, made the comments on Facebook when discussing the paternity test results.  He went on to state that Kardashian is a good person.  Odom even went as far as stating Kardashian “…deserves the world.”

Thompson is the father of True, a 3-year-old daughter, with Kardashian.  The former basketball star also has a 5-year-old son named Prince with his ex, Jordan Craig.  At the moment, Thompson has three publicly-known children.  However, he seems to have no problem getting around, so there is the possibility that his family is much larger than publicly revealed.  It seems as though the women Thompson romanticizes have no qualms with engaging in affairs with a married man.  Nor do these women seem to have any interest in using contraceptives, likely because the prospect of child support for nearly two decades from a multimillionaire is quite appealing.

How Will Kardashian React to the News?

Kardashian has not issued a public comment, aside from a short statement made through her publicist.  Only time will tell if she publicly acknowledges her ex’s statement and apology.  Kardashian threw in the towel on the relationship with Thompson after alleging he had an affair with Sydney Chase, an Instagram model.  Furthermore, it is also interesting to note Thompson’s fling with Nichols had not been revealed when the allegations of the Chase affair were made. 

It is widely known that Thompson cheated on his now-ex back in ’18 when she was pregnant.  Kardashian was carrying the couple’s daughter, True, at the time of the affair.  It is also known that Thompson also had an affair one year later with Jordyn Woods, the former best friend of Kylie Jenner.  

Where Does Thompson Go From Here?

Thompson will now be on the hook for child support for 18 years.  Nichols’ paternity lawsuit against the basketball player is still pending in a court of law.  The paternity suit includes demands for child support and fees related to pregnancy.
